Emir of Northern Borders launches 2025 Investment Forum and sponsors the signing of 21 agreements

His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Borders Region, inaugurated today Northern Borders Investment Forum 2025, organized by the Emirate of the region at the Ministry of Interior Staff Club in Arar, with the participation of a number of ministers, officials, experts and advisors, a number of company heads, executives and businessmen and women.
His Highness toured the pavilions of government agencies and companies participating in the forum and was briefed on the initiatives, programs and projects presented. During the forum, more than 240 investment opportunities were presented in the Northern Borders region, with an estimated value of about 40 billion riyals, in a number of targeted sectors such as: Food and food, mining and energy, tourism and environment, and the logistics sector.
Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan emphasized that the Northern Borders Investment Forum 2025 reflects the support of the wise leadership for development and investment opportunities, and contributes to consolidating the region's investment presence and enhancing the investment environment, pointing out that the region has important development components, including natural resources, logistical location and advanced infrastructure, making it an environment capable of attracting quality investments and expanding the horizons of development.
He explained that the forum is an institutional platform to discuss sectoral opportunities through specialized sessions and present the potential of the investment environment, including services, incentives, financing and regulatory procedures, indicating that the Emirate of the region - in coordination with ministries and national bodies - will work to translate the outcomes of the forum into practical programs and executive initiatives to maximize the use of the region's capabilities and develop its targeted sectors.
He also directed the concerned authorities to enhance integration, raise the efficiency of procedures and improve investor paths to achieve the highest degree of ease and clarity and support the speed of completion and quality of performance, calling on national and international companies and entrepreneurs to build long-term partnerships in the region, stressing that quality opportunities, attractive environment and qualified capabilities to create sustainable development value are available, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

His Excellency also patronized the forum. <His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Borders Region, today sponsored the signing ceremony of 21 agreements and memorandums of understanding between government agencies, national bodies and local and international companies as part of the Northern Borders Investment Forum 2025 to enable quality projects and enhance the investment environment in the region.
The agreements covered the areas of digital transformation and skills development, integrated investment in agricultural and water lands, development studies for urban projects, creative industries, mining, renewable energy and chemical elements, development of mixed-use investment sites, training and national capacity building programs, and financing incentives for entrepreneurs.
These agreements integrate with the system of investment opportunities worth more than 40 billion riyals, including more than 240 quality opportunities in strategic sectors, which enhances the attractiveness of the region and supports its contribution to the national economy, enabling it to attract quality investments and develop vital sectors in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

H.E. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Falih, Minister of Investment, delivered a speech during the ceremony prepared on this occasion, during which he praised the forum as a strategic platform to promote investment in the Northern Border Region, explaining the important role of the forum in reviewing qualitative investment opportunities, enhancing the business environment, and supporting sustainable growth and development paths in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

In his speech, H.E. Qutaiba bin Ahmad Badawi, Chairman of the General Authority for Ports and Customs of the Syrian Arab Republic, praised the forum's professional dialogues and opportunities for development cooperation and investment promotion in the region, noting the Kingdom's continuous development in the business environment and the high competitiveness of investment in all its regions, including the Northern Borders region, and its integrated economic opportunities for investors.
