Revealed Ministry of Municipalities and Housing The Municipalities and Housing Sector announced that more than 300,000 volunteers will participate in volunteer initiatives in 2025, as part of efforts to improve the quality of life, promote environmental sustainability, and upgrade the urban landscape in the Kingdom's cities and governorates.
The ministry explained that the voluntary initiatives included the implementation of various works, including establishing and maintaining public parks, developing the urban landscape, supporting civil societies, contributing to reducing environmental pollution, in addition to initiatives aimed at activating the urban identity, improving the residential environment and raising the quality of its facilities.
She explained that the volunteering tracks in the Municipalities and Housing Sector have been diversified to include the housing track, the track of improving the urban landscape and decorating cities, the track of control and monitoring, the track of preserving grace, the track of honoring the dead, in addition to the comprehensive volunteering track, providing multiple volunteering opportunities that suit the different segments of society and their interests.
The ministry emphasized that it will continue to implement and develop volunteer tracks in the municipalities and housing sector, in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, support the growth of the non-profit sector, and enhance the contribution of volunteers to sustainable urban development.
She pointed out that the participation of more than 300,000 volunteers reflects the growing culture of volunteerism and its role in supporting development efforts and raising the level of community participation in improving cities and quality of life.
