Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of the Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Region, launched 17 development projects in the industrial cities in Jeddah and the Second Industrial City in Makkah, with a total value exceeding 2.5 billion riyals. His Highness witnessed the signing of the first industrial contract for precious metals and gemstones between “Madin” and the company “Mahd Al-Dahab,” with the factory to be located in the First Industrial City in Jeddah on an area of 18,000 square meters, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khuraif, and a number of Their Highnesses the Princes and Their Excellencies.
Infrastructure Network Development
The projects included the development of infrastructure networks covering an area exceeding 11 million square meters, the construction of 160 new turnkey factories, the construction of water transmission lines and the expansion of a water treatment plant, as well as a quality control laboratory in the food cluster, and electricity and shared services projects, thereby enhancing the sustainability of services and supporting rapid growth in the industrial and logistics sectors.
Empowering National Industries
These projects are part of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones “Madin” to create an integrated industrial environment, empower national industries, and strengthen the industrial sector’s role as a key driver of the national economy.
These projects cover a wide range of sectors, including infrastructure, finished goods, water and electricity projects, services, and utilities, thereby contributing to enhancing the readiness and competitiveness of industrial cities, supporting industrial expansion and quality investments, and achieving the objectives of the National Industrial Strategy and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
