Living Room Furniture

Prepared by Khaled Abdulwahab

Interior design is an art and there are different designs associated with certain countries or certain eras, and everyone has their own way and style, giving way to an endless number of designs and innovations that move away from the traditional and impressionistic to get different and creative results at the same time, and interior design has different styles from which we choose the most famous and most common ones.

Classic style

Classical design is based on balance, symmetry, and order and is derived from the Greek and Roman era and does not have the modern influences of the current era.

The key element of this style is that there is a focal point, and the rest of the design elements are arranged to lead us to that point.

The colors used are green, dark blue, yellow, and black is used to identify important elements of the design.

The most commonly used fabrics in this style are silk and cotton, while wood and marble are used for the flooring, and they are installed in an elegant and interesting way.

This type of design differs from the traditional style as the traditional style is much older than the classical one as it is more related to customs and traditions,

Modern style

The modern style of design was created by a group of German designers who founded the Bauhaus in 1919. It is characterized by the absence of the intricate details you find in other designs.

Some may describe it as simple because of the spaces, and there is no sensory overload, but if executed perfectly, it will give you a sense of calm and simplicity.

The modern style is best suited for office spaces and small apartments because it creates the impression that the room is large and leads to the appearance of the space from the top of its simplicity. Colors in this style have a limited role, because a single color in this design can play the main role, and one of the advantages of this style is that it is very  Its simplicity can be combined with other designs to create the most beautiful results.

Contemporary style

Some people confuse the concept of contemporary style with modern style, because the two are similar in many characteristics. This type of design is characterized by spaciousness and comfort, suitable for office spaces and small apartments, and it also relies on lines. Lines can be used through bold colors, high ceilings, square-edged furniture, and wooden floors to make the space feel larger.

Minimalist style

This style is characterized by the abstraction of everything until only the original remains. This style is very simple, and it deals directly with nature, relying on natural light and ventilation as the main elements of the space. This style uses black and white colors and doesn't overdo it with other colors.

Art Deco style

It emerged in the early 20th century and is a fusion of cubist and modern art that has become very popular today because it blends Pharaonic and European (Baroque) styles  in modern and contemporary ways, giving the design a luxurious and elegant feel.

The lighting in this design is highly focused and includes lighting for ceilings, floors, tables and walls. The Art Deco style is considered a style for the affluent.

Rustic design style

It is a traditional design with the addition of a rustic character to it, and the furnishings are covered with fabric and textiles or drawings and decorations, this design is a combination of various French, English, American and Italian rustic types and has combined the characteristics of all these countries.

This style is usually found in countryside, small houses and cabins. This style is characterized by simplicity with few beautiful, intricate touches.
