Taif tourism is booming, with 95% occupancy rate and demand for shopping and entertainment centers

With the approach of the Okaz Market Festival in its tenth session during the month of Dhu al-Qa'dah next month, hotels and furnished apartments in Taif achieved an occupancy rate of more than 95%, as tourist accommodation houses of all levels were crowded with tourists and vacationers, and it was noted that agricultural inns and tourist accommodation in rural Taif in agricultural centers such as Shafa and Hada recorded a significant increase in the percentage of bookings, some of which reached full operational capacity, Souq Okaz includes many cultural, literary, artistic and theatrical programs, exhibitions, competitions and performances, as well as activities for productive families, artisans and craftsmen.

In the same tourism trend, Taif parks and tourist sites recorded a high turnout during the past week, which put traffic pressure on the roads leading to them, and the markets and commercial centers, for their part, were a factor in attracting families looking for shopping and entertainment, especially in covered game parks, in addition to the growing pressure on service facilities by residents and vacationers who crowded the province in many and the current summer season.

Taif parks and tourist sites recorded a high density of traffic during the past week, which formed a traffic pressure on the roads leading to them.

The large shopping tent in Khalidiya, where the Taif Summer Shopping Festival is held, has attracted the attention of a large number of tourists and visitors due to its location at the western entrance of the city of roses, and easy access to it, with acrobatic activities, open theater, folk arts performances, games and restaurants, in addition to the largest shopping site.

Tourist guides confirmed that the capacity of tourist accommodations will reach its peak during the next period of summer in light of the high temperatures in many regions, with moderate weather in Taif and separate rains on a number of tourist sites, and the possibility of continuing moderate weather in Taif and the southern centers that include Thamala, Bani Saad, Leya, Al-Sahn, Qia, Shaksan, Maysan villages, Thaqif, Al-Dar Al-Hamra, Haddad, Al-Quraia Bani Malik.

Tourist guides confirmed that the absorption capacity for tourist accommodations will reach its peak in the coming period of summer in light of the high temperatures in many regions.

Ahmed Al-Juaid (tourist guide) pointed out that Taif is witnessing an exceptional season with wide tourism options, seasonal programs and festivals, support for the season with tourism services and facilities, the preparation of parks and public parks and tourist sites, the continuation of tourism development efforts in many locations, the addition of new tourism programs and options such as the open tourist bus, identifying new tourist routes, opening tourist destinations, supporting the supervisory side for tourist residential facilities and raising the level of services provided to vacationers.
