In the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Community Development Housing Foundation “Sakan,” the “Nonprofit Sector Night” was held as part of the “Al-Joud Minna wa Fina” campaign led by the “Joud Al-Iskan“ platform—one of the initiatives of the ”Sakan" Foundation—as part of efforts to strengthen partnerships with the nonprofit sector to support the path toward developmental housing and enable eligible families to achieve housing stability.
The evening featured the signing of a number of agreements with entities from the nonprofit sector to provide housing solutions for eligible families, benefiting more than 2,500 families, with a total value exceeding 311,229,500 riyals, reflecting the extent of integration between government agencies and the nonprofit sector in achieving developmental housing targets, The agreements included:
the signing of two agreements with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to support housing solutions for eligible families, worth 123,060,000 riyals, benefiting 448 families.
An agreement with Al-Bir Society in the Eastern Province worth 85,050,000 riyals to provide housing solutions for 380 families.
Other agreements with a number of civil society organizations to support charitable housing projects worth 14,125,000 riyals to serve 100 families.
An agreement worth 9,900,000 riyals to support 120 families.
In addition to other initiatives and partnerships that contribute to providing housing solutions for eligible families in various regions of the Kingdom.
His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing emphasized that the integration of efforts between government agencies and the nonprofit sector represents a fundamental pillar for enhancing social stability, noting that these partnerships help expand the scope of development initiatives and achieve a sustainable impact for eligible families.
He explained that these developmental housing initiatives are an extension of the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and strengthen the role of the nonprofit sector in national development, which positively impacts the quality of life and family stability of the beneficiaries.
