A specialist in the housing sector emphasized the need to mobilize all companies and government and private institutions to achieve the Saudi Ministry of Housing’s short-term goals and to meet the high demand for housing, which is accompanied by a doubling of the population in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In line with the vision of the Kingdom’s wise leadership—whether through land development, investment, and preparation for housing, or through residential real estate development, the Al-Dar Exhibition—dedicated to all aspects of the housing sector—will launch on May 21 at the Movenpick Hotel in Riyadh. focusing on construction and building, as well as investment projects. It primarily attracts all those interested in this vital sector, from investors to individuals looking to build their own homes.
Regarding this exhibition and other similar events, Engineer Faisal bin Hatlin, General Manager of SKY Events —the organizer of Al-Dar Exhibition—explains that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" support for the housing sector has had a clear impact on the sector, both in terms of meeting the demand for nearly 350,000 housing units annually, or in terms of curbing excessive inflation in the land market, and most importantly, in terms of incentivizing investors to create new sub-sectors that contribute, alongside government agencies, to the development of excellent housing products.
Bin Hatlin continues: ”This is what we sought to achieve when we came up with the idea for the Al-Dar Exhibition, which will serve as a link between construction professionals and visitors, in addition to highlighting national capabilities in the field of construction, as well as providing opportunities to showcase local and Arab business ventures and investment opportunities."
Bin Hatheen noted that all of this serves the interests of the government’s housing support program, which has received 400,000 applications, and in turning the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques into reality by fostering a genuine partnership between the public and private sectors, thereby revitalizing the Saudi economy as a whole.
