A slight increase in cement prices last May

A report by the Saudi Contractors Authority notes modest annual and monthly increases in the prices of black and white cement, with varying levels projected for 2025

cement prices in Saudi Arabia rose slightly during May 2026, ranging from 0.32% to 0.71% compared to the same period in 2025, according to the report “Building Materials Prices” issued by the Saudi Contractors Authority. The report showed that the price of black cement reached 15.81 riyals per bag in May 2026, compared to 15.76 riyals in May 2025, an increase of 0.32%, while the price of white cement rose to 38.53 riyals per bag compared to 38.26 riyals during the same period, marking a 0.71% increase.

On a monthly basis, the report indicated that cement prices recorded a slight increase ranging between 0.06% and 0.08% in May 2026 compared to April of the same year, noting that the price of black cement rose from 15.80 riyals per bag in April 2026 to 15.81 riyals in May 2026, while the price of white cement rose from 38.50 riyals to 38.53 riyals during the same period.

The report also noted price fluctuations throughout 2025, with black cement reaching its highest price in December at 15.82 riyals per bag, while its lowest price was recorded in October at 15.44 riyals per bag. As for white cement, the highest price was recorded in June at 38.36 riyals per bag, while the lowest price was in March at 37.83 riyals per bag.
