Real Estate Notarization in the Kingdom to record high levels of activity during 2026, with hundreds of thousands of transactions processed across various regions, amid the ongoing expansion of digital solutions and the development of the judicial services system. Data from the Judicial Notarization Index, issued by Ministry of Justice revealed that 307,932 real estate notarization transactions were completed during the year, reflecting the growing reliance on modern judicial services to facilitate the transfer and notarization of real estate ownership.
Digital transformation played a prominent role in supporting this activity, as 44,201 transactions were carried out via electronic platforms, confirming the expanding use of digital channels in completing real estate transactions and facilitating access to services without the need for traditional procedures.
The Riyadh region led the way by a wide margin over the rest of the regions, accounting for 249,987 real estate notarization transactions, benefiting from the urban and investment boom the capital is experiencing, alongside the continued growth in residential and commercial projects and the increased pace of real estate activity.
The Makkah region came in second with 6,830 transactions, while the Eastern Province ranked third with a total of 2,610 notarizations during the year. In other regions, the number of notarizations in Asir reached 1,384, compared to 1,077 in Madinah. Al-Qassim recorded 568 transactions, Hail 496, and Tabuk 404.
As for the remaining regions, the Northern Border Region recorded 126 documentation cases, Jazan 118, Najran 59, Al-Jawf 45, while the number of cases in Al-Baha Region reached 27.
