The Asir Region Municipality conducted 536 inspection visits to buildings and facilities to verify compliance with the requirements of the Saudi Building Code, as well as to identify and address violations. The inspections identified 338 violations, including 236 against supervising engineering firms, 65 against owners of of buildings, 33 violations by contractors, and 4 violations by design engineering firms.
The Secretariat confirmed that it will continue its inspection tours of buildings and structures to verify compliance with the requirements of the Saudi Building Code, building regulations, and approved specifications.
