The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) is continuing its efforts to work on issuing a record of real estate prices in the Kingdom in the coming short period, by forming a statistical database for the real estate sector, in order to support decision makers and meet the country's needs for such data.
Real Estate Price Data
The President of the General Authority for Statistics, Dr. Fahad bin Sulaiman Al-Tukhaifi, explained that the real estate index is based on the administrative records available in the database at the Ministry of Justice, which contributes to issuing statistical reports and bulletins related to real estate prices, fulfilling the requirements of the G20, closing the data gap, and meeting the requirements of all beneficiaries of real estate data. The Authority is also working with all partners to rely on records instead of field surveys, as cooperation is underway with the Ministry of Justice in this aspect to provide the Authority with real estate transaction data on a periodic and regular basis through which it can issue real estate indicators to achieve international, regional and domestic requirements.
<p class="p2About the file and indicators of unemployment, the labor force survey is one of the most important household surveys implemented by the Authority, within its annual plan, as its importance lies in the basic data it provides on the size and characteristics of the labor force, which helps in planning the development of the labor market, analyzing and evaluating macroeconomic policies, and helping researchers and decision-makers in drawing policies related to the labor market and its most important issues such as unemployment.
The cooperation with the Ministry of Justice in this regard is underway to provide the Authority with data on real estate transactions on a periodic and regular basis, so that it can issue real estate indicators to achieve international, regional and regional requirements.
Keeping up with the labor market
The head of the Statistics Authority said that the results of the survey are important because they contribute to building a database on the labor market to keep pace with aspirations, support the trends and efforts made by various state agencies and the private sector to nationalize occupations and replace expatriate workers, and contribute to building a time series for this information that can be used in preparing and planning for future social and economic development programs in the Kingdom.
According to the Authority's directions for the next developmental phase, and in view of the increasing demands on the results of the survey, and in accordance with the latest international methodologies and standards, as of 2016, the Authority implemented the survey on a quarterly basis instead of semi-annually, in line with the new vision that everyone seeks to translate.
Coordination with several entities
Al-Tukhaifi believes that Saudi women have proven their competencies in various fields, as the Authority has supported during the past period all work teams in various departments with female competencies, proving their effectiveness and ability to excel whether in statistical, administrative or media work, adding that the Authority is working to enable Saudi women to contribute to the comprehensive development process by providing programs We cannot overlook the role of training and training for women so that they can perform their work professionally and competently, and our training for female specialists in statistics will include those who work in the Authority or those who work in statistical departments in the government or private sector.
