On Monday, May 27, 2013, during his trip to the Seychelles, HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, inaugurated the Raffles Resort and Hotel in the northern part of Praslin, the second largest island in the Seychelles.
The opening was attended by Simon Hurst, General Manager of Raffles Resort & Hotel, Dr. Nahla Nasser Al Anbar, Special Executive Assistant to HH The Chairman, Amani Al Qahtani, Assistant Executive Director of HH The Amir's Palaces, Nayef Al Zuhair, Director of Websites and Electronic Networks, Hani Al Agha, Senior Director of Travel and External Coordination, Manal Al Shammari, Director of Protocol, Fahad bin Saad bin Nafel, Special Executive Assistant to HH The Chairman, Raffles Resort & Hotel executives and officials, and Mohammed Al Faraj, Assistant Director of Travel and External Coordination.

The Raffles Resort & Hotel will be located at the Seychelles' northern part of the Seychelles. Raffles Hotel and Resort includes 90 luxury hotel villas, in addition to 17 private residential villas, with a construction value of $137 million, and Fairmont, in which Kingdom Holding Company owns 38%, is managing Raffles Hotel and Resort.
