Preparations are underway in Dubai to launch the world’s second hotel bearing the “Versace” fashion brand, located in the Culture Village area on Dubai Creek.
Construction of the “Palazzo Versace” hotel and resort in Dubai is more than 92% complete in preparation for its opening early next year, following the completion of its facilities and services, making it the first hotel in the region for the “Versace” brand in the region, with a capacity of 588 units.
Construction of the hotel, with an investment exceeding 2.5 billion dirhams, is proceeding at full speed, while finishing touches are being applied to the 80-story building. The hotel will feature approximately 215 rooms, 169 hotel apartments, and 204 chalets, in addition to other hospitality services.
The hotel’s construction is part of a partnership agreement between Inshaa, Australia’s Sunland Group, and Emirates International Holding to manage the first “Versace” brand in Dubai. This marks the second location worldwide and the first in the region for a Palazzo Versace hotel; the design team at Sunland Group and the architectural team at House of Versace developed the hotel’s plans.
The first “Palazzo Versace” hotel opened on the Gold Coast in Australia during the fourth quarter of 2000, making the Dubai hotel the second in the world to bear the same brand.
The project is expected to add new dimensions to Dubai’s tourism sector and attract more visitors and tourists. Efforts are also being focused on ensuring the project is executed in a way that may encourage other developers to form similar partnerships across the region.
