His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, recently launched the first pilot phase of the 937 emergency center service at the Ministry's headquarters, which is concerned with providing health services and can be communicated through it to all parts of the country and from any means of communication (mobile/ fixed/ emergency phone).
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Al-Rabiah stressed that the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - always emphasize the importance of serving the citizen and that nothing is more important than the health of the citizen. Based on this noble directive, the Ministry of Health is doing its best to improve the level of health services and invest the support enjoyed by the health sector from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Second Deputy - may God protect them, and in a way that reflects positively on developing health services and providing health care to citizens and meeting their health needs. His Excellency emphasized that the patient-first slogan adopted by the Ministry of Health reflects the Ministry's keenness and focus on serving the patient and preserving his health.
His Excellency pointed out that this first phase, which was launched from the (937) service, will be subject to experimentation and evaluation by specialists, thought leaders, media professionals, stakeholders and stakeholders, through which the views of the beneficiaries of this service will be reviewed and their suggestions will be consulted, which will contribute, God willing, to achieve optimal use of this service in the coming stages, where specialists work in the center in ambulance and emergency, as well as doctors to respond to inquiries and calls from beneficiaries of the service, and refer specialized inquiries to consultants to answer them later after taking the information of the beneficiary.The Minister of Health said that we will focus in the trial period on receiving calls related to emergency departments and medical consultations, and any call related to a complaint or otherwise will be dealt with according to the mechanism of work in the center and referred to the competent department and respond to it, as the work was divided into 3 shifts, each with 18 employees.
For his part, the Director General of the General Department of Health Emergencies, Dr. Tariq Al-Arnous explained that the 937 service center at the Ministry of Health is a listening ear for patients and monitoring their emergency requirements, as it includes a distinguished group of trained and qualified doctors, ambulance and emergency technicians, nurses and administrators around the clock, official holidays, holidays and throughout the year, where the center monitors all incoming emergency patient reports and works to develop work performance within the strategies of the Ministry of Health in order to achieve the ministry's slogan (patient first), noting that the aim of the introduction of this system is to provide emergency health services to patients throughout the Kingdom.
