DAMAC Properties has revealed that it has awarded 15 contracts worth AED 1.26 billion from August to November this year for construction and engineering consultancy work, bringing the total value of contracts awarded during 2016 so far for development projects in Dubai and the UK to AED 6.51 billion.

DAMAC Properties has awarded these contracts to provide services related to several projects in Dubai, including the golf communities AKOYA by DAMAC and AKOYA Oxygen, and the multi-tower projects Icon City and DAMAC Towers by Paramount Hotels & Resorts. For AKOYA by DAMAC, the contracts cover the main construction of villas and apartments in a number of residential communities within the integrated development. At AKOYA Oxygen, the company's second integrated development in Dubai, the contracts awarded cover the main construction of villas, roads and infrastructure.
Mohammed Al Tahaina, Senior Vice President Commercial at DAMAC Properties, said: ”With the delivery of 1,350 villas and apartments at AKOYA by DAMAC during the last quarter of 2016, coupled with the opening of Trump International Golf Club Dubai in the first quarter of 2017, the project is progressing rapidly and is poised to become a fully integrated community.”
