With a total budget exceeding a quarter of a billion riyals, the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Engineer Abdul Latif Al Sheikh, signed contracts for new municipal projects in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar, aimed at maintaining parks, green spaces, road networks, and street lighting.

The projects in Riyadh focused on maintaining street lighting in the capital’s downtown area, as well as maintaining streets and sidewalks in western Riyadh (within the Arqa municipal district), as well as the maintenance of streets and squares in northern Riyadh (Part 1), at a total cost of 165,836,500 riyals.Meanwhile, projects in Jeddah Governorate included the implementation of a maintenance and rehabilitation project for the streets at the northern entrances to the governorate at a cost of 43,833,000 riyals, while other projects included the maintenance of streets in the southern part of Al-Khobar Governorate at a cost of 37,536,000 riyals.

The total cost of the contracts amounted to 247,205,500 riyals, reflecting the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs’ commitment to meeting citizens’ needs for municipal projects and services in all regions, cities, and governorates of the Kingdom.
