Under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Secretary of the Eastern Province, Engineer Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Jubeir, the 19th edition of the (BUILDEX 2017) in its 19th edition, organized by Dhahran International Exhibitions at its headquarters in Dammam. The exhibition aligns with the construction boom

In his speech, Engineer Al-Jubeir emphasized that the Construction and Building Exhibition is a major event that aligns with the boom the Kingdom is experiencing in construction and building projects related to housing and infrastructure. He noted that the Kingdom’s current renaissance had to be accompanied by a program that meets the actual needs of the first-class construction industry and the use of equipment of all kinds, noting that the exhibition brings together companies that have presented exhibits and models demonstrating technical expertise and creativity in material selection, while promoting domestic products. He expressed his hope that this exhibition would be repeated, given its contribution to transferring technology and equipment to consumers and the private sector.

Saudi Products Compete Globally

Al-Jubeir reiterated his confidence in Saudi products and their ability to compete globally through certain companies that have already achieved export rates to European countries, noting that the Secretariat is opening the door for Saudi companies to showcase the products they use in their projects, where local products are given priority in winning government or private-sector projects. He emphasized that the goal of holding these exhibitions is to showcase products of various types and uses, thereby saving companies and individuals time and effort in obtaining the equipment or materials needed to carry out projects.

The exhibition reflects modern construction trends

For his part, Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Husseini, CEO of Dhahran International Exhibitions, praised the opening of the exhibition by the Secretary of the Eastern Province, noting that this represents genuine support for exhibitions that contribute to the continuity of work at a steady and evolving pace, and provide us with ample room for creativity by attracting international exhibitions.
He noted that the exhibition will showcase the latest achievements of major local companies, as well as participation from various countries featuring their most advanced heavy equipment and cranes, in addition to live demonstrations explaining how the equipment works, in line with the exhibition’s objectives, which aim to highlight the sector’s active role and tangible progress in the Kingdom, as well as to showcase the development of local industry and technology in this field, emphasizing that the exhibition has completed its preparations to host this major event.
