Al Ahli Capital has topped Euromoney's list of the best equity research houses in the Arab world in five sectors according to the annual survey of investor opinions after outperforming last year's survey in three sectors, coming first in economic research and second in market strategy.
Al Ahli Capital ranked best in five key sectors - Cement & Construction, Consumer Goods & Retail, Food & Agriculture, Oil & Gas, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, and Real Estate Development - and ranked in the top three in the other four sectors covered by the team, while coming second in the overall assessment for the third consecutive year.
“We are very proud of this achievement, which strongly reflects the depth of analysis and insights we provide, as we recognize the importance of this to our clients and its role in helping them make informed investment decisions, which are key elements of our role as a fiduciary advisor,” said Tarek Langawi, Acting CEO of Al Ahli Capital. Euromoney's annual survey invites high net worth individual and institutional investors in the region and globally to assess the quality of research covering the Arab equity markets by nominating the top three companies in each sector, taking into account overall performance, accuracy and credibility of the information. In its seventh year, more than 400 investors participated in voting on Euromoney's shortlisted companies to produce final lists that serve as an independent leading indicator of research effectiveness and quality.
Al Ahli Capital's research team, led by retail and food specialist Farouk Miah, has flourished over the past five years by strengthening its capabilities in sectors that Al Ahli Capital believes are of interest to clients in the Kingdom and the region.
