More than 351 billion riyals in facilities provided to micro, small and medium enterprises

Banks accounted for 95%, facilities rose 28% by the end of 2024, and medium-sized enterprises accounted for 53.2% of the total.

The total facilities provided by banks and finance companies to small, medium and micro enterprises recorded a remarkable growth, reaching its highest historical levels at (351,702) million riyals by the end of 2024, achieving an annual growth of 28% and an increase of (76,126) million riyals, compared to the year (2023) in which the total facilities reached (275,576) million riyals.

<The monthly statistical bulletin for February (2025) issued by the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia showed that the facilities achieved a quarterly growth of (7%), amounting to (22,474) million riyals by the end of the fourth quarter of (2024), compared to the end of the third quarter of the same year, which recorded (329,228) million riyals.<The bulletin showed that facilities provided by the banking sector amounted to (333,501) million riyals, accounting for about (95%) of the total facilities, while the volume of facilities provided by the finance companies sector amounted to (18,201) million riyals.
Medium enterprises obtained the largest share of these facilities, amounting to (187,209) million riyals, representing about (53.According to the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, this type of enterprises is categorized as enterprises with revenues ranging from (40) to (200) million SAR, or with between (50) and (249) employees, followed by small enterprises with a volume of facilities amounting to (122,174) million SAR, representing (34.These are enterprises with revenues ranging from 3 to 40 million riyals, or with 6 to 49 employees.
Micro enterprises came third with facilities amounting to (42,319) million riyals, with approximately (12%) of the total facilities, and are categorized as those with revenues not exceeding 3 million riyals or with between one and five employees.
