The “Cityscape Global 2017” exhibition, hosted by Dubai at the World Trade Center, officially kicked off this morning and will run for three days, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, graced the opening ceremony with his presence.
His Highness toured the exhibition hall during this 16th edition of the event and learned about the most significant real estate development, tourism, and entertainment projects being carried out by national, Arab, and foreign companies participating in this annual event—numbering nearly 300 companies a specialized destination in the world of real estate development both within the UAE and abroad.
During his tour, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan listened to detailed presentations from a number of companies, including Aldar Properties, Imkan, Majid Al Futtaim – Abu Dhabi, Dubai Holding, Dubai Properties, Meraas Holding, Nakheel, Falcon, and Damac… His Highness reviewed models and maps of the residential, tourism, and entertainment projects being implemented by these companies and heard from their CEOs about the strategic plans they are pursuing for the implementation, completion, and future of these mega-projects.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum expressed his satisfaction with the efforts, work, and perseverance of national companies in the field of construction and real estate development, emphasizing the importance of this sector in supporting our national economy, diversifying its sources, and revitalizing the real estate market and revitalizing it locally, regionally, and globally, as Dubai is considered one of the world’s leading cities in this field and the preferred destination for global and regional investors.
During his tour, His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai also visited a number of booths where companies were showcasing their current and future projects. He listened to presentations from company representatives outlining these companies” plans to contribute to the development of this vital sector, which is a key pillar in achieving economic stability andlivelihoods of all segments of society, while also stimulating commercial activity and supporting the national economy.
During his visit to the Expo 2020 Dubai pavilion, His Highness viewed a massive model of the integrated urban community “District 2020 ,” which will serve as Expo Dubai’s legacy after the curtain falls on this major international event in the first quarter of 2021.
His Highness highlighted the promising future that awaits the UAE during and after hosting this major world exhibition, as it will attract millions of visitors and investors from global companies and business leaders, who will gain firsthand, on-the-ground insight into the opportunities available in our beloved country in general and in Dubai in particular, in order to ensure a rewarding economic return for these entities and individuals who will invest in our country—especially in light of the advantages and logistical facilities these companies will enjoy, which will provide assurance for their capital and allow them to benefit from stability, security, andsafety, as well as open markets across the region, the Middle East, and North Africa, extending all the way to Southeast Asia.
