The 4th International Education Forum and Exhibition Concludes with Regional and International Participation

The 4th International Education Exhibition and Forum, held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God preserve him – and opened by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Minister of Education, and organized by the Ministry of Education at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, concluded its activities, attended by a number of ministers of education from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and a select group of international and local speakers who highlighted special education around the world, An international exhibition was held on the sidelines of the forum, featuring more than 250 participating entities representing national, regional, and international organizations.
Forum Events
His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Minister of Education, delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings of the patron of the event, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince —may God protect them both—and their best wishes to all contributors to the exhibition and forum for success and guidance in achieving the noble humanitarian goal of the exhibition and forum, noting that the Ministry of Education, like all institutions in the Kingdom, believes that the principles of the true religion and our national and social values constitute a solid framework that guides us toward excellence, leadership, and mastery in matters of values and in all other aspects of life
A modern system of work
His Highness the Minister of Education said: ”“At this forum and others like it, we strive for a modern work system that promotes conscious openness and encourages learning from outstanding educational experiences in other countries, thereby achieving our primary goals of serving our true religion, elevating our nation, andadvance its mission, and to provide our sons and daughters with the best possible preparation for a dignified life, and thus we aspire to strengthen our current and future educational projects by building bridges with centers of expertise and institutions specializing in education, technology, and research, in order to exchange ideas with the world and to both give and receive—for no one in this world cando without others, and we are part of this world.” He expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to his success.
His Highness also expressed his gratitude to His Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdullah, who has left a distinctive mark on education in recent years and whose creative influence continues to this day.
Following that, His Highness the Minister of Education honored the sponsors of the forum and exhibition, as well as those who contributed to its success.
250 booths
His Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal inaugurated the exhibition accompanying the forum and toured its exhibits. The exhibition featured more than 250 booths representing national, regional, and international institutions, organizations, and entities working in sectors related to educational development, including companies, institutes, and government and private organizations.
The 4th International Education Exhibition and Forum focused its program on providing significant opportunities for pioneers and investors in the field of education, as well as others interested in the sector, to establish partnerships and network with decision-makers from the bodies overseeing educational development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, as well as representatives from universities, colleges, training institutes, secondary schools, and public and private schools.
Saudi Customs participated with a large booth where it showcased its most notable achievements and seizures, in addition to presenting guidance, oversight, and awareness-raising tools that reflect Customs“ commitment to education and guidance.

Working Sessions
The forum’s activities included five sessions on the first day. The first session featured a presentation on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s experience in integrating students with special educational needs into general education schools, delivered by Dr. Nasser Al-Mousa, a member of the Shura Council.The second session focused on special education leadership and effective management, during which three working papers were discussed, presented by Dr. Harvey Roddy, Director of the School of Special Education at the University of Northern Colorado in the United States, Dr. Elise Frattora, Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin, and Dr. Khalid Al-Maliki, a speech-language pathologist and supervisor of the Speech and Swallowing Disorders Unit at King Abdulaziz University Hospital in Riyadh.
The third session, presented by child protection consultant Inen Raymond from the United Kingdom, discussed a working paper titled ”Protecting People with Disabilities and Children with Special Needs from Abuse and Neglect.“ The fourth session was presented by Dr. Malcolm Reef, National Director of Special Needs Education in the United Kingdom, and addressed a working paper titled ”Improving Outcomes for Students with Special Needs to Promote Social Inclusion,“ while the fifth session was presented by Ms. De Raid, a literacy expert, under the title ”Realizing the Potential of Children with Special Needs.“
50 seminars and lectures
The forum and exhibition provided opportunities for teachers to learn about the latest technologies and tools used in the global education sector, and its program included more than 50 seminars and presentations by academic speakers and global leaders in the field of education. These sessions focused on aligning the vision of educational institutions with that of the Saudi Ministry of Education and its regional partners,facilitating procedures related to establishing projects in the education sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, strengthening communication with major global companies and institutions specializing in education, and exploring ways to expand investments in the world’s fastest-growing education sectors. Workshops
The forum included ten workshops, four of which were reserved exclusively for women, while the rest were reserved exclusively for men. These workshops included one titled ”Training Staff to Protect Children with Disabilities and Special Needs in Schools,“ another titled ”“Developing Vocational Education and Training Schools,” a workshop on smart classrooms presented by Samsung, a workshop titled “Tailoring the Best Learning Activities to Students’ Needs,” and a number of other workshops, such as those on educating children with autism.
High Turnout
The forum saw a high turnout, attended by a number of Their Highnesses the Princes and Their Excellencies the Ministers, in addition to a number of ministry officials, education advocates, and education sector employees.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Education is organizing this event for the fourth consecutive year, in collaboration with a number of governmental and nongovernmental organizations and the private sector.
