Saudi investors have long been a major force in the real estate market of the United Arab Emirates, ranking first in terms of both the number of investors and the value of investments among their counterparts from other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and serving as strong competitors to other Arab and foreign nationalities, particularly in freehold areas.
Conversely, the real estate market in the UAE in general—and Dubai in particular—offers investment opportunities that astute Saudi investors have recognized and treated as a safe long-term investment. While Saudi investors seek to capitalize on more investment opportunities in Dubai’s real estate market, real estate companies in the "Pearl of the Gulf" are striving to reach as many Saudis as possible who are interested in investing in their projects.
This is where the newspaper "Amlak" stands out, serving as a reliable bridge connecting real estate developers in the United Arab Emirates with investors and buyers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries—and vice versa. We do not say this out of courtesy or favoritism toward "Amlak"; rather, this is what we observed from the warm reception and expressions of admiration from most of the real estate development companies we visited during the Cityscape Global exhibition and conference held last month in Dubai.
We listened with great interest to the marketing challenges these real estate companies face due to escalating competition in the real estate market, which is characterized by a proliferation of attractive real estate offers in terms of sale prices or payment schedules. During the exhibition, we discussed with the leading companies new ideas for presenting and promoting their projects, marketing strategies, and ways to leverage modern technologies to reach the largest number of investors in the region and around the world.
During these professional interviews and meetings, an unexpected and surprising volume of inquiries and requests from the CEOs and marketing directors of these companies to *Amlak* newspaper emerged. These requests centered on the need for *Amlak* to expand beyond its presence in the local real estate market in the UAE and not merely limit itself to distribution, but rather to dedicate entire supplements to these real estate companies so they can reach various segments of investors in the Kingdom.
Therefore, the editorial board decided to put its trust in God and, starting with this issue, to launch an in-house supplement titled "Amlak Al-Emirates." On the one hand, this step reinforces the newspaper’s leading position as the only real estate media platform in the Kingdom, in addition to being the oldest, most established, and strongest in its field throughout the region. As attested by real estate professionals and practitioners, it has succeeded in shaping the real estate landscape in the Kingdom and in conveying the message of Saudi companies specializing in real estate development and marketing to the outside world. As we present this collection of real estate reports and news from the Emirates to you for the first time, we ask for your forgiveness should any oversight appear on this page or any error occur on that one. We would be happy to receive your feedback and would be even happier to address the topics you wish to read about or focus on in future editions, God willing.
