In a regional milestone, Saudi Holland Bank (SHB) was awarded the Best SME Bank in the Middle East at The Banker Middle East Banking Industry Awards, the latest edition of which was announced at a ceremony in Dubai in the presence of various representatives of major banking and financial institutions in the region. The prestigious award recognizes Saudi Holland Bank's outstanding performance in the SME sector and its role in supporting the growth of this vital sector and enhancing its presence within the business sectors in the Middle East and the region in general, based on a series of criteria and evaluation indicators adopted by The Banker Middle East to select the best performers for the various categories of the awards.

The Banker's selection of Saudi Holland was based on an in-depth analysis of more than 50,000 respondents, including experts and consultants from the SME sector, the banking industry and start-ups, whose opinions reflected the bank's superior customer relationship management, strong presence and service network, as well as its ability to develop innovative products and services, which has boosted the bank's market share and competitiveness.
Saudi Holland's Managing Director, Mr. Abdulrahman Al Mansoori, expressed his appreciation for the Banker's efforts in the Middle East and the wider region. <Hussam Al Khayal, General Manager of Corporate Banking at The Saudi Holland Bank, expressed Saudi Holland Bank's pride in being selected for this prestigious award, which represents a qualitative addition to the bank's journey and achievements and recognizes the collective efforts behind the outstanding level of banking care enjoyed by the SME sector and emerging businesses by the bank. Al Khayyal noted that this high-level achievement comes as a result of the strategy adopted by The Saudi Dutch Bank in managing its services directed at SMEs and the corporate sector in general, and as a result of the dedication of the team, which includes professional competencies as well as the continuous support of the Board of Directors and senior management. This award is one of seven prestigious international awards that the bank received in various specialized banking services and sectors during 2014. These awards varied in various categories to include the best banking group as a whole and the SME sector, as well as the best mortgage product. The Bank also has seven specialized business centers that provide Shari'ah-compliant financial services and solutions to the SME sector, and the procedures for obtaining business banking products and services have been reviewed and simplified to suit the requirements of this sector.“
