Minister of Commerce issues a decision appointing Engineer Saleh Al-Rasheed as Governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises

<By a decision of the Minister of Commerce and Investment and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, Engineer Saleh bin Ibrahim Al Rasheed has been appointed as Governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises. Al-Rasheed recently served as CEO of Riyadh Airports Company, which manages and operates King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, during which he led the company's transformation in the privatization program of the air transport sector, privatizing all services, businesses, assets and properties, and leading the digital transformation of the airport to increase the efficiency of services, maximize revenues, and improve the level of services provided to passengers.

Rasheed was most recently CEO of Riyadh Airports Company.

He also took over the management of the Saudi Industrial Cities and Technology Zones Authority (MODON), and oversaw the management and launch of several initiatives and projects to support small and medium enterprises in the industrial sector, the most important of which are the launch of ready-made factories and MODON Oases, as well as the establishment of industrial incubators.

He also supervised the development and operation of industrial cities worth more than 15 billion riyals, which resulted in the establishment and development of more than 35 industrial cities in all regions of the Kingdom, with a total area of developed industrial and service lands exceeding 180 million square meters.

Al-Rasheed holds an Executive MBA from IMD Institute in Switzerland and a BSc in Computer Science and Information Technology from King Saud University.
