Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center announced a 25% decrease in service interruptions and encroachments on underground infrastructure assets, including water, energy, communications and other vital networks, as a result of developing the infrastructure management system, enhancing integration and coordination between relevant authorities, and raising the efficiency of planning and implementation at project sites.<He explained that this improvement comes as a continuation of his efforts in organizing the infrastructure sector, and applying advanced practices in technical data management and standardization, which contributes to increasing the reliability of information related to the location of existing assets, enabling implementing agencies to plan their work in advance, reduce field conflicts and unintentional encroachments, and enhance the safety of work sites and the continuity of services.
In this context, the Center pointed out the launch of the geospatial verification service for infrastructure assets<infrastructure, which enables contractors and implementers to view the locations of existing networks within the licensing procedures and before starting excavation work, based on a unified centralized geospatial database collected and harmonized from more than 17 government and service entities.<This service comes as part of the Center's transformational initiatives to enhance data accuracy, support decision-making before implementation, and raise the level of safety and asset protection at project sites.
