“Labor: Overcoming Recruitment Obstacles with Musaned”

Abdulmoneim Al-Shahri, director of the Ministry of Labor branch in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, confirmed that the “Musaned” system consists of several informational windows and a simplified, illustrated explanation of the ”stages of service delivery” and information for service providers, including private recruitment agencies and companies, as well as labor dispute resolution committees at regional labor offices. It also allows domestic workers and employers to learn about the mechanism for filing complaints and resolving disputes. He highlighted the significant role played by the Ministry, primarily in removing obstacles and streamlining procedures for workers and professionals in the sector, and pledging that the “Musaned” system will overcome all obstacles facing the recruitment sector.
He noted that “Musaned” provides the required forms and documents, such as applications for recruiting individuals, salary forms, exit and return forms, residence permit application forms, and driver’s license application forms, adding that the “Musaned” website to offer a service that allows users to rate private recruitment agencies and companies based on the feedback of clients who have dealt with them.
This announcement came during a meeting hosted by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday, following the approval by the Recruitment Agencies Committee at the 21st session of the Board of Directors, in the presence of “Recruitment Companies and Agencies,” attended by Abdulmoneim bin Yassin Al-Shahri, director of the Ministry of Labor’s branch in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region; Khalaf bin Hosan Al-Otaibi, a member of the Jeddah Chamber’s Board of Directors; and Engineer Muhyiddin bin Yahya Hakami, assistant secretary-general of the Chamber.
Yahya Makboul, Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber’s Recruitment Committee, told ”Al-Watan” that the Kingdom has the largest domestic workforce in the world, with more than 3 million domestic workers, and that employers have the right to ensure the health and safety of their domestic workers; he added that the Gulf Cooperation Council bears full responsibility for the recruitment system and health monitoring, which is preceded by rigorous medical examinations that the workers.
