Specialists in information technology and modern smart technologies confirmed that Saudi Arabia constitutes the largest Arab and regional market in the Middle East region with the size of the technology market estimated at about 5 billion riyals, according to the latest estimates and statistics for the current year 2014. They pointed out in meetings with “Riyadh” that the annual spending in the markets of the information technology sector in the Kingdom during the past five years was about 40 billion riyals, including 8 billion riyals spent last year alone on this vital and important sector that has penetrated all aspects of life, and the Saudi citizen is one of the most interested in the developments of these technologies that have entered every home and every pocket through smart phones, electronic devices, multimedia transmitters, education technologies and others to which the government of the Kingdom allocates budgets that are among the largest in the region and the world.
