Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, visited the Dubai Land Department's stand on the first day of Cityscape Global 2018, organized by Informa, through a strategic partnership with the Department, which is participating under the theme “Dubai Lands. Artificial intelligence simulates the future of your property'.
His Highness was accompanied by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and CEO and Chairman of Emirates Airline Group, where they were received by HE Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of Dubai Land Department, who gave them a detailed explanation of the first-of-its-kind smart platform 'Dubai Rest' for its important services, the most important of which is enabling users to verify their properties through their face print.
DLD confirms through the development of this platform its keenness to fully align with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to consolidate Dubai's position and excellence to be the smartest and happiest city in the world.
HHH Sheikh Hamdan praised the Dubai Rest platform and the efforts of the Department, which continues to provide world-class smart services.
Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of Dubai Land Department, said: ”With the launch of our smart platform "Dubai Rest", DLD has achieved a major global breakthrough, surpassing all real estate registration systems in the world. Through this achievement, we have once again proven our ability to continue innovating to maintain DLD's excellence by relying on its smart services to serve our customers in a fast and secure manner and meet the needs of all parties to the real estate relationship".
The most important feature of the new smart real estate platform is the possibility of obtaining comprehensive services, including allowing its users to perform lease registration services, register rental cases, obtain a "certificate to whom it may concern" and other documents to prove ownership of real estate, and apply for property valuation.
The Department confirmed that the new platform will undergo further development work, and when the second phase is completed, a package of other services will be added for owners, including the ability to sell properties remotely and issue a no-objection certificate for investors. Users can find out the investment return by region, type and use of the property, in addition to inquiring about real estate projects and their completion rate, inquiring about real estate brokers and their performance level, and inquiring about the daily real estate transactions values.
