Saudi Engineers Organization issues the work regulations of the Engineering Offices and Companies Committee

<The Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) has issued the Regulation of the Committee of Engineering Offices and Companies, which sets the rules of its professional practices and drives the performance of its work and its various divisions, following its approval by the Board of Directors of the Authority, containing ten articles and general provisions that regulate the work of the Committee, its tasks and its formation.
For his part, Engineer Farhan Al-Shammari, Secretary General of the Commission, explained that the regulation comes as a culmination of joint work in the corridors of the Commission, where efforts were combined to produce a comprehensive regulation that contributes to raising the level of professional performance and achieving the public interest sought by the owners of engineering offices and companies.
He stressed that it comes as an extension of the vision of the leadership and its approval of the Saudi Organization for Engineers, whose second article authorized the Board of Directors to conduct its affairs and achieve its stipulated objectives, as well as Article 7, which assigned the Board of Directors to form technical and scientific committees and engineering divisions... «engineering companies»...

<The regulation defines the objectives and tasks of the committee in giving opinion, advice and works related to engineering offices and companies, and participating by submitting initiatives and proposals related to the development of engineering offices and companies, as well as contributing to giving opinion and general proposals to contribute to the development of the Authority's work, while it is allowed to propose relevant courses and seminars.
He pointed out that one of the most important roles assigned to the committee according to the regulation is to form a link between the owners of offices and engineering companies and the General Secretariat and the Board of Directors, while the regulation specified eight requirements for candidacy for membership of the committee, the most important of which is that he is a Saudi national and that his professional degree is not less than a professional and his membership in the Commission, and stressed the keenness of the regulation to allocate a mechanism to select the committee members by applying for candidacy at the General Secretariat of the Authority, provided that the elections are held among the candidates according to the voting mechanism determined by the Authority, while owners of offices or engineering companies elect who they consider appropriate in the election period to be announced at the time Engineer Al-Shammari added that the committee is formed based on the decision of the Board of Directors after confirming the requirements and controls for this, provided that the term of the committee's work is three years from the date of issuing its formation, and the Board of Directors of the Saudi Commission for Engineers is allowed to extend for more than that period, indicating that the regulation specified the members of the committee as six members whose chairman and vice chairman are chosen by secret ballot among the members in the first meeting held for it, and the regulation included explanations of the formation of the committee and its work period in addition to the meetings of the committee and its secretariat in addition to determining the end of its work or the end of the work of one of its members, and allocated the remuneration mechanism and concluded seven judgments. ... «Engineering Companies»...
