Worth 3 billion riyals. “National Water” signs 91 agreements to implement 500 thousand home connections

National Water Company announced today that it has concluded for the first time 91 agreements to implement more than 500 thousand water and sewage connections at a cost of nearly three billion riyals, which will benefit more than 6 million people, within the Islaal project announced last December.
The company explained that the Islaal project is a strategic shift in managing home connections, as it worked during the past year to develop it as an independent product, to contribute to accelerating the provision of services to customers and improving their quality, in addition to increasing the coverage of water and sewage networks, which helps improve the quality of life, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. She pointed out that the project includes the implementation of more than 276 thousand water connections and more than 229 thousand sewage connections, implemented by 44 companies in all regions of the Kingdom, noting that its benefits are not limited to the implementation of home connections only, as it will contribute to the movement of the economy; because the percentage of local content required by the company exceeds 50% in water and sewage connections and service lines, in addition to that the new connections will be followed by smart meters.
The company said that it has taken into account in its selection of contractors to be specialized in infrastructure works for water and sewage networks, stressing that its customers' evaluation of these companies will be an important part of the evaluation process, and the assignment of home connection orders to them.The company also confirmed its automation of the procedures for home connection requests, as the customer will be able to request a connection, know the stages of his request, and the duration of service delivery to him electronically, adding that the customer can also know the contractor who will carry out his own connection, and see his evaluation by other customers, through the company's electronic channels, indicating that the customer will receive a text message at each step of the work, until the connection is installed, and evaluate the contractor's work.


The company confirmed that the customer's evaluation of these companies will be an important part of the evaluation process, until the connection is installed, and evaluate the work of the contractor.
