Amid calls for an extension, we are now less than 60 days away from the deadline for receiving applications to consider citizens' ownership of land without deeds by the State Real Estate's Ahkam platform.
For his part, legal advisor Hamoud Al-Najem advised in a televised statement on Rotana Khalijia channel yesterday, Friday, that “whoever has ownership and believes that his papers are insufficient should submit them even if they are incomplete so that he does not lose his right to ownership, and that the state is serious about this matter after the lands were being violated.”
Al-Najem added that the number of applications is large, which requires extending the deadline for submission, especially with the large number of people who have not registered on the “Ihkam” platform, due to circumstances and factors beyond their control. He pointed out that more than half a million citizens have registered on the platform so far, which is a huge number that requires a tremendous effort from the concerned authorities.
The “Ihkam” platform had indicated that the application period would end on the date previously set, which confirms that no extension order has been issued so far.

2- Promoting the principles of justice, transparency and reliability.
3- Studying the applications, and recommendations are submitted to the highest authority in each ownership application.
Conditions and deadline for accepting ownership applications:
The General Authority for State Properties began receiving applications last year, specifically on the fifth of Jumada al-Awwal, and set a deadline of one year for submitting ownership applications.
Article Three of the rules revealed the conditions for accepting an ownership request, including that the request be submitted within one year from the date of 5-5-1442 AH corresponding to 20-12-2020 AD, and that it has not been previously decided by a final judicial ruling, and that the property subject to the request is not among the locations where ownership is not permitted by Sharia or by order, decision and instructions, including the boundaries of the Two Holy Mosques, the holy sites and their buildings, the coastal lands and the sea sanctuary, and fish farming projects.
This is in addition to the border zones and national reserves, wild park lands, wildlife reserves, mountain peaks, pasture and forest lands, valleys, torrents, reefs, floods, archaeological sites, areas reserved for hydrocarbon materials, mining and energy, mineral ore sites, power lines and stations, water source areas, dam basins and their boundaries, and public properties for which deeds for public utilities and services have been issued.
Among the conditions is also that the aerial photographs or organizational plans do not negate the existence of a revival in the property subject to the ownership request before the order to prevent revival issued pursuant to Royal Order No. (21679) dated 9/11/1387 AH.
