<The General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities - Makkah Region Branch - considered it a prerequisite for the organizers of exhibitions and conferences to obtain a statutory license from the National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences, and stressed on all hotels to commit to not allowing the holding of exhibitions (commercial, consumer, charitable, introductory) and conferences (forums, meetings, seminars, meetings, workshops, training courses), unless the applicant obtains a license, starting from the first day of Jumada Al-Thani 1436 AH corresponding to March 21, 2015.
The Director General of the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities in Makkah, Mohammed Al-Omari, had issued a circular to all hotels in the region, referring to the circulars issued by His Royal Highness the Emir of Makkah referring to the circular of His Royal Highness the Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, regarding the coordination mechanism that has been agreed upon between the Ministry and the National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences.
