The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority has proposed amendments to the executive regulations for the Real Estate Transactions Tax to solicit feedback from the public, the private sector, and government agencies through the “Survey Platform.”
Through the draft Amendments project, to clarify the tax payment deadline for certain transactions, expand the scope of exemptions regarding gifts, and clarify key provisions regarding who is subject to the tax and who is exempt from it. and the Authority has specified that the public consultation will end on December 29, 2021.
