The Saudi Institution of Engineers is organizing a forum Saudi Building Code under the theme “Code Safety and Sustainability” under the patronage of Majid Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, with the participation of government agencies and sectors in Riyadh on Monday, March 28, 2022.

Engineer Abdulnasser Al-Abdullatif, Secretary General of the Authority, explained that the forum focuses on supporting the Saudi Building Code system, introducing it and clarifying the roles of the parties involved in its application, as well as supporting the strategy of engineering offices in its application.

Al-Abdullatif pointed out that the forum will hold 3 sessions discussing a number of topics in which a number of princes and ministers will participate to talk about the most prominent roles of the Saudi Building Code and its importance in preserving buildings, properties and facilities in addition to its role in economic sustainability for citizens, reviewing the role of the concerned authorities and institutions in this field and facilitating and providing the requirements for the application of the code by designing training programs to support the owners of engineering offices in the Kingdom to meet their future needs.

Abdullatif <Through this event, which serves as a platform to exchange expertise and experiences, raise the level of building quality and safety, develop the level of readiness of the targeted entities, and empower national cadres to apply the code requirements.
