Saudi Arabia is currently participating in the World Economic Forum 2022, held in Davos, Switzerland, from May 22 to 26, under the theme “History at a Turning Point: Government Policies and Business Strategies.”
The Kingdom's delegation is headed by Minister of State and Cabinet Member Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf, and includes Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, and Princess Haifa bint Mohammed, Assistant Minister of Tourism.
<The delegation will engage in meaningful dialogues with its international partners participating in several plenary and private sessions, with the aim of developing effective solutions to global challenges, including climate change, economic conditions, global supply security and geopolitical risks, energy security, as well as the ongoing risks of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The delegation will present the Kingdom's perspective and local and international efforts in response to the eight key issues revolving around the themes of this year's meetings: climate and environment, creating more equitable economies, technology and innovation, jobs and skills, business environment improvement, and health and well-being.
The delegation will also present the Kingdom's vision for the future of enhancing the capabilities of cadres and talents and supporting the adoption of smart solutions based on advanced technology and fourth industrial revolution solutions, its view on the security of key resources and commodities and its pivotal role in ensuring the security and stability of energy markets as well as its efforts to diversify the energy mix locally and globally and its long-term investments in this field.
The delegation will also present the Kingdom's vision for the future. <This year's edition of the World Economic Forum is exceptional at all levels, as it is the first session to be held in attendance since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and is expected to host more than 2,500 personalities from state leaders, senior businessmen, investors and decision-makers at the international level, and the sessions coincide with the geopolitical and economic developments in the world that have imposed serious challenges on global growth and caused disruption to supply chains, and the forum seeks to promote joint international action to build understandings and common ground to overcome current circumstances, according to SPA.
