Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqeel today conducted an inspection tour in Makkah and the holy sites, during which he inspected the ministry's preparations for the Hajj season this year 1443 AH, and the readiness of the ministry's plans and projects and the Holy Capital Municipality and its programs in the field of maintaining public health and food safety, and environmental sanitation works to serve the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God. This is part of the Kingdom's efforts to provide the best services to the pilgrims during the Hajj season. <He reviewed the readiness of the municipal centers in Mina and Arafat, and inspected the sites of municipal services, as well as the places of disembarkation of pilgrims in Muzdalifah. His Excellency also inspected the preparations and plans for hygiene work, public health and food safety programs, environmental sanitation work, road maintenance, operation of lighting systems and cleaning of rain and flood water drainage networks, where he viewed a model of municipal service centers inside the holy sites, in addition to the Municipality's work in raising the readiness of 58 tunnels in Mecca and the holy sites that serve pilgrims, in addition to ensuring the readiness of cadres, work teams and vehicles in Mount Mercy and other feelings estimated at 22 thousand personnel.
The Minister also inspected the readiness of the municipal services centers in Mina and Arafat, and inspected the sites of municipal services, as well as the places where pilgrims disembarked in Muzdalifah.
