The real estate industry is awaiting the release of white land fee invoices for 1444-1445 H for the first cycle of the second phase in the city of Riyadh, and the White Lands Program called on the owners of the concerned lands to take the initiative to build their lands or pay within a year from the date of issuing the decision.

Payment deadline is one year

The program explained in a press release that the deadline for payment of white land fees is a full year from the date of issuing invoices, during which the fee is paid or the owners of the land, by completing the construction of residential facilities on it - except for fencing and the like - in accordance with the building permit issued for the land, within the framework of seeking to increase the real estate supply of real estate products and developed lands. By motivating taxpayers to build and develop their lands during the payment grace period, and to take advantage of the support mechanisms provided by the Ministry, such as the Wafi Committee for Sale or Leasing on the Map, Ittimam Center, and the Real Estate Development Agency, to accelerate the pace of development of white lands, the Ministry aims to increase the supply of real estate products and developed lands.

The program stressed the importance of paying within the specified period, to avoid a penalty of up to 100% of the value of the fee, in addition to paying the due fees. Landowners or taxpayers can view the fees prescribed for them and initiate payment within one year from the issuance of the decision (issuance of invoices) on August 15, 2022 through the online portal.

It is noteworthy that the White Land Fees Regulation includes three implementation phases, the first includes undeveloped land with an area of ten thousand square meters and more, located within the scope determined by the Ministry, the second phase is the developed land with an area of ten thousand square meters and more, and the developed land of one owner with an area of ten thousand square meters and more in one plan within the specified urban area, and the third phase is the developed land with an area of five thousand square meters and more, and the total developed land of one owner with an area of ten thousand square meters and more in one city within the scope determined by the Ministry.
