13.2 billion riyals in loans for self-employment and microenterprises

Social Development Bank data revealed that the total number of loans for self-employment and productive families amounted to about 13.2 billion riyals, with 342 thousand beneficiaries, while the total financing provided by the bank since the start of providing loans reached about 138 billion riyals, benefiting more than three million male and female citizens.

Financing to enhance the role of productive families

Ibrahim Al-Rashed, CEO of the Social Development Bank, emphasized during his participation in the Souq Al-Dar exhibition with the slogan "A Vibrant and Productive Society", that the bank continues to promote the role of productive families and all self-employment, as it is an essential tributary in the process of pumping local products and improving the quality of life of male and female citizens.

Supporting Micro Enterprises

Al-Rashed explained that there is an expansion in supporting self-employment and microenterprises, noting that this is the second experience of the Aldar Market, where 92 events were held this year to coincide with the anniversary of the National Day in all regions of the Kingdom, in which hundreds of productive families participated and 750,000 visitors.

Making a difference in the lives of productive families

For his part, Saeed Al-Zahrani, Advisor to the Bank's CEO and General Supervisor of Empowerment and Development at the Bank, explained that Souq Al-Dar is a practical implementation of the Bank's vision aimed at making the community vital and productive, adding, "The Bank seeks through these national events to make a tangible difference in the lives of productive families, and then work to provide everything they need to grow their projects."

Al-Zahrani stated.Al-Zahrani stated that organizing events enhances the Bank's great efforts to implement the products of families locally and internationally, as well as financing and supporting productive families in various fields, especially since the development and empowerment of this segment of society is one of the Bank's objectives linked to the Saudi Vision 2030, which stipulates raising the contribution of productive families to the local output.
