State real estate adopts 5 strategic goals to support sustainable development projects

The General Authority for State Real Estate has established a number of strategic objectives and initiatives that contribute to the optimal utilization of its government real estate portfolio, and to channel this asset into sustainable development and economic projects through an integrated strategy based on four pillars: protection, efficiency, quality, and productivity.

In a statement, the Authority said it has adopted five objectives, including: establishing and enforcing a comprehensive and transparent regulatory framework for state-owned real estate; optimizing the use of state-owned real estate; rationalizing rental expenses and expropriation by government entities while applying energy efficiency standards; in addition to applying the best specifications and standards to government real estate; achieving reliable governance of state-owned real estate, supported by a clear central role for the Authority; and establishing and building its capabilities.

She added that the Authority has adopted 18 initiatives to achieve its strategic objectives, most notably providing headquarters for government agencies in partnership with the private sector, in accordance with global best practices, providing new financial and funding solutions; establishing policies, specifications, and standards for state-owned real estate; reviewing and creating new regulations and bylaws; and inventorying and registering state-owned real estate, enhancing the real estate portfolio, digitally transforming the Authority’s services, improving the efficiency of state-owned real estate management, meeting spending efficiency standards, and increasing the efficient use of state-owned real estate.

The The General Authority for State Real Estate noted that it is actively pursuing its mission through its strategy to preserve state real estate and enhance its productive and economic efficiency through innovative solutions, It has developed a methodology for performance measurement indicators based on world-leading best practices in this field, which contributes to supporting its 14 sectors and branches spread across the Kingdom’s regions and provinces.
