<The fifth edition of the Future Projects Forum 2023 will be launched in Riyadh on May 22-23, 2023, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and the forum is a platform to review more than 3000 projects worth one trillion riyals. On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Contractors Authority , Engineer Zakaria bin Abdulrahman Al-Abdulqader, thanked the wise leadership for the support and empowerment enjoyed by the Authority and the keenness to involve the private sector in supporting the national development process to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Abdulqader pointed out that the Forum is a platform to review 3000 projects worth one trillion riyals. Al-Abdulqader pointed out that the current edition of the forum is characterized by its alignment with positive economic developments in the Kingdom, and comes at a time when the local economy is achieving impressive results, thanks to God and then thanks to the progress made by the Kingdom's Vision 2030, as real GDP during 2022 achieved a growth of (7.8%) compared to the previous year (2021).

Abdulqader pointed out that the current edition of the forum is characterized by its alignment with positive economic developments in the Kingdom. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority explained that this year marks the middle of the vision's journey, which is seven years since its launch, and the signs of comprehensive change and tremendous development have begun to appear on the ground, and are reflected in the economy, job opportunities, and large and small projects.

<Engineer Al-Abdulqader pointed out that mega projects are the hallmark of Saudi Vision 2030, characterized by their diversity and comprehensiveness, and their focus on strategic economic sectors that will reflect on the sustainable growth of the Saudi economy over the coming decades, and contribute to the diversification of the state's sources of income, and this has a close link to the contracting sector, which is a pillar of the economy, job opportunities, and large and small projects. The contracting sector is a key pillar in the growth and prosperity of the economy, and financial sustainability will contribute to the creation of a strong contracting sector, capable of implementing mega projects with high efficiency and quality, and will be an effective element in promoting local content and creating more job opportunities for the sons and daughters of the nation.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Saudi Contractors Authority, Abdulmajid Al-Rashoudi, emphasized that the forum aims to promote integration and coordination between project owners, contractors, manufacturers and suppliers from the stakeholders, to highlight the size of opportunities, projects and what the future of the Kingdom needs from the contracting sector as the executive arm of the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 projects and the main driver of many important sectors."

Rashoudi pointed out that Future Projects Forum and all the projects that are reviewed are focused on implementing the Saudi Vision 2030, which requires a mature, strong and organized contracting sector to work in all areas that include housing, transportation, logistics, education, health care, tourism, entertainment, hospitality, real estate, energy, utilities and manufacturing. The objectives of this forum are also to create an appropriate environment for contractors of various specialties and categories to meet each other to exchange experiences and views and look into the future of the sector for the good of the dear homeland.

The fifth edition of the forum was held at the end of the year. The fifth edition of the Future Projects Forum is attended by more than 40 government and private organizations, and is co-sponsored by a number of major national companies.
