With the participation of 43 government and private sector organizations, the Future Projects Forum, organized by the Saudi Contractors Authority, reviewed 3000 projects that provided an opportunity to identify the size of investment opportunities and what the Kingdom's future needs from the contracting sector as the executive arm of the ambitious Vision 2030 projects.
Coordination between project owners and contractors
The forum, which was launched under the patronage of Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, witnessed the launch of a package of excellence awards aimed at motivating and encouraging the sector. On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority, Engineer Zakaria bin Abdulrahman Al-Abdalqader, explained that the organization of the Future Projects Forum 2022 aims to deepen integration and coordination between project owners, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and other stakeholders; to highlight the size of opportunities and projects, and the future needs of the Kingdom from the contracting sector as the executive arm of the ambitious Vision 2030 projects.
Enabling Vision Initiatives
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Jameel Qattan, Head of the Municipal Services and Infrastructure Sector at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, stressed that the contracting sector is a key pillar in the growth and prosperity of our country, and plays a role in enabling the Kingdom's Vision 2030 initiatives, in addition to being a key driver for many important sectors.
Providing contract forms
The Secretary General of the Authority, Engineer Thabet bin Mubarak Al-Suwaid, reviewed the most prominent developments in the Authority's work and initiatives, and the realization of a number of achievements that keep pace with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and the great interaction by contractors with it, including the most prominent of these efforts is the electronic services that provided models of contracts that contribute to the development of the sector, reviewing the number of registrants in the Authority and beneficiaries of its digital services.
