The trade shows in which the Saudi Export Development Authority (“Saudi Exports”) participates have played an important role in promoting the products of Saudi companies, as it has successfully showcased products from more than 216 Saudi companies under the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s pavilion at nine international trade shows across various sectors—including food, petrochemicals, plastics, and electricity—demonstrating their ability to compete in international markets.

Promoting and marketing products from national companies

“Saudi Exports” encourages national enterprises to participate in international markets through exhibitions, thereby achieving broader market access for their products by participating in the Saudi pavilion, while “Saudi Exports” works to overcome the obstacles facing Saudi enterprises by providing logistical support to participants with the aim of showcasing national products appropriately.

Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Haqbani, Secretary-General of the Saudi Export Development Authority (“Saudi Exports”), affirmed that “Saudi Exports,” through organizing the Saudi pavilion and participating in international specialized trade shows, to encourage national enterprises to participate in these exhibitions, which enables the development of their competitive capabilities through platforms that simulate target markets and contribute to promoting national products on international platforms, open up potential export markets for Saudi enterprises, and create a suitable platform for engaging with customers—a goal the Authority pursues through its “Business Matching” service, which is held in conjunction with the exhibitions in which the Authority participates and aims to open broader horizons toward buyers and customers interested in national products.

“Saudi Exports” Participation in Exhibitions

During the first half of this year, “Saudi Exports” participated in several exhibitions, including:

The Arab Plast Exhibition, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

It also organized the Saudi pavilion at the IFE exhibition, held in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. This event is considered the first and largest commercial participation by national companies in the food sector in Europe among international specialized exhibitions in that region, with 45 national companies participating.

“Saudi Exports” also organized the Kingdom’s pavilion at the MIHAS Halal Food Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur. Through this exhibition, the Saudi pavilion—organized by the Saudi Export Development Authority—won the award for Best Pavilion at the exhibition for the second consecutive year.

“Saudi Exports” also organized a special pavilion for Saudi companies at the WITEX exhibition held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

In addition, “Saudi Exports” sought to showcase Saudi construction technologies and materials by organizing and inviting a number of Saudi companies to the Project Qatar exhibition, with 46 specialized companies participating, in addition to its presence at the Africa Food Expo held in the Arab Republic of Egypt, with 20 Saudi companies participating.
