The 42nd edition of the Global Real Estate Leaders Summit kicked off today in Riyadh under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Real Estate, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, in the presence and participation of prominent real estate figures, a number of CEOs of major companies, members of the International Real Estate Federation, and international speakers representing more than 110 countries.

Discuss available investment opportunities

Real estate leaders will discuss the challenges in the real estate industry along with the available investment opportunities, as well as the role of leaders in creating entrepreneurial ideas by reviewing global best practices and how they can be applied in the region, and the digital future using artificial intelligence.

Al-Haqeel emphasized the commitment to apply global best practices in the real estate industry, and to hold meaningful strategic partnerships that enable and facilitate the participation of industry leaders and global developers, see their available investment opportunities, and find innovative ideas that contribute to transforming the challenges facing the real estate industry into qualitative gains.

For his part, the CEO of the General Authority for Real Estate, Engineer Abdullah Al Hammad, said that the summit is hosted by Riyadh. He said: “In the Kingdom, we have the flexibility, readiness and opportunities through the Saudi real estate legislation system that aligns with the requirements of the market and partners and ensures the creation of a successful, sustainable and innovative real estate industry that promotes investment, in addition to the fact that the Kingdom is today the largest construction site the world has ever known with trillion projects since the announcement of Vision 2030.”

Exploring sustainable solutions to real estate challenges

In turn, the head of the International Real Estate Federation office, Bud Yarsasa, explained that the Real Estate Leaders Summit represents hope for the future of real estate by discussing sustainable solutions to real estate challenges globally, and will allow us to open partnerships, investment opportunities and future visions that we aspire to in the real estate sector with a focus on global best practices; to create sustainable real estate communities that adopt the principle of social responsibility taking into account the development and empowerment of workers in the sector.

Abdullah Al-Harbi, head of the International Real Estate Federation office in Saudi Arabia, said that the summit, which is held for the first time in the Middle East and Africa region in Riyadh, will be a roadmap to support government efforts, which aim to mature the real estate sector and increase its contribution to GDP, and in order to achieve this, a number of initiatives have been launched.
