<Germany's Federal Statistical Office announced that the number of tourist nights in hotels and hostels reached 193.7 million during the first half of this year. This is a 3% increase compared to the first half of 2014, which also recorded a record number of tourist nights. The number of tourist nights for foreigners rose by 5% in the first six months of this year to 34.4 million nights, and the number of tourist nights for domestic tourists rose by 3% to 159.3 million nights, the bureau said.
