His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi, announced the launch of the Saudi Standard Specifications for Smart Cities in cooperation with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).
This came during his participation in a dialogue session during the activities of the first Global Forum for Smart Cities in the Kingdom, organized by SDAIA at the Arena Center in Riyadh from 12 to 13 February 2024, with the participation of more than 100 speakers from 40 countries from different parts of the world under the theme "A Better Life".

Smart City Standards
These standards provide a set of general guidelines on the planning, design, development, organization, monitoring, maintenance and optimization of smart city systems and operations.
