Al-Haqeel signs a contract for flood drainage in Buraydah at a cost of more than 108 million riyals

The project is implemented by horizontal drilling to transfer the water of Al-Naqaa lakes to Wadi Al-Rumma as part of the Qassim Municipality's initiatives to improve the quality of life.

His Excellency the Minister of Municipal, Rural, and Housing Affairs, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqil (electronically) a contract for the project to reinforce the Flash Flood Drainage System via horizontal drilling from Al-Naq’ Lakes to Wadi Al-Ramah in the city of Buraidah, at a total cost of (108,955,699) riyals.

The Secretary of Al-Qassim Region, Engineer Muhammad bin Mubarak Al-Majali, explained that the project is one of a series of projects the Secretariat is undertaking to manage floodwaters in the city of Buraidah, through which floodwaters will be diverted via a horizontal borehole from the Al-Naq’ Lakes to Wadi Al-Ramah, as part of initiatives to develop municipal services and improve quality of life—one of the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
