The Kingdom has made significant strides in the area of efficiency business sector; ranking 12th globally and fourth among G20 countries, according to the World Competitiveness Yearbook, published by the World Competitiveness Center at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), which is one of the key competitiveness reports monitored and analyzed by the National Competitiveness Center in coordination with relevant government agencies.
The report noted that the Kingdom advanced to 16th place globally out of the 67 most competitive countries in the world, while maintaining its previous ranking of 34th in the infrastructure category and remaining in the top 20 in economic performance and government efficiency.
The economic transformation has been reflected in the business sector
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Competitiveness Center, affirmed that the positive results achieved by the Kingdom in the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook, and other reputable global reports, are a reflection of the economic transformation process adopted by the Kingdom’s government in accordance with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister—may God protect him.
