The General Secretariat of Real Estate Ownership Review Committees (Ihkam) has announced new controls and conditions for completing the title deed through its electronic platform, in order to facilitate citizens and reduce administrative burdens.

Conditions for completing the title deed:

• Newspaper advertisement: An advertisement must be published in an approved daily newspaper explaining the application to complete the deed of trust.
• Add lengths and area: The lengths and area of the property must be accurately added in the application.
• Alterations Affecting Neighbors: If the completion process includes any alterations affecting neighboring properties, the owners of those properties must be notified in advance.
• Addressing government agencies: All relevant government agencies, such as the General Directorate of Roads and Bridges, must be contacted to obtain the necessary approvals.

Application Requirements:

• Finalized Title Deed: A finalized title deed must be submitted.
• Applicant's ID: Provide the applicant's ID or that of his representative if applying by proxy.
• Inheritance Inventory (if any): If the application is submitted by the heirs of the property owner, an approved inheritance inventory from the competent authorities must be submitted.
• Survey Report: Provide a recent survey report for the property issued by an engineering office accredited by Ihkam.
• Create an account on Ehkam platform: An account must be created on Ehkam platform to submit the application and track the status of the transaction.

2. Filling out the form: Filling out the application form to complete the title deed electronically.
3. Attach Required Documents: Attach all required documents, including the title deed, applicant's ID, survey report, and inheritance survey (if applicable).
4. Engineering Office Review: The application will be reviewed by the authorized engineering office to ensure that the data is correct and complies with applicable standards.
