The Real Estate Registry announced today via today that it has begun accepting applications for the first physical registration of 146,478 real estate parcels in 22 neighborhoods in the city of Riyadh, 25 neighborhoods in Al-Mazahmiyah Governorate, and 11 neighborhoods in Al-Dir’iyah Governorate.
The real estate registration in Riyadh includes the following districts: (part of the Arid district, Wadi Luban, King Abdullah City for Energy, Al-Wisam, Al-Sahab, Al-Marjan, Al-Bashair, Al-Iskan, Al-Bariya, the New Industrial City, Hit, Khashm Al-Aan, Uhud, Okaz, Dirab, Al-Mansouriyah, Al-Hair, Al-Amajiyah, Al-Ghanamiyah, Umm Al-Shaal, Al-Sahba, and Al-Musaffah), while registration in Al-Mazahmiyah Governorate covers the following neighborhoods: (Waseelah, Nawara, Granada, Tuwaig, Shukhayb, Hadar, Al-Yasmin, Al-Wurood, Al-Waha, Al-Hada, Al-Murooj, Al-Mohammadiya, Al-Louloua, Al-Ghatghat, Al-Olia, Al-Sina’iya, Al-Saqouriya, Al-Shallal, Al-Rif, Al-Rashidiya, Al-Hazimiya, Al-Hazm, Al-Jami’a, Al-Andalus, and Mushayrifah), Registration also covers neighborhoods in the Diriyah Governorate, namely: (Al-Shuhada, Aqraba, Salam, Al-Wadi, Al-Adl, Najd, Al-Ain, Al-Waseel, Prince Sultan, Al-Waha, and Hijrat Budha).
Owners of properties located within the neighborhoods covered by the Land Registry must register their properties by the end of February 13, 2025, corresponding to Sha’ban 14, 1446 AH, The location of the property can be verified to see if it is within the announced areas through the Land Registry platform.
The Land Registry has urged property owners to register their properties through the Land Registry platform: rer.sa, and to contact the Customer Service Center at 199002 to inquire about registration procedures and steps, Property owners must also register their properties within the specified period to benefit from the Land Registry’s services, conduct real estate transactions with ease, and avoid the penalties and fines stipulated by the Real Property Registration System.
The Real Estate Registry confirmed that it continues its work in registering properties in areas covered by the registry, as part of its efforts to increase reliability and transparency in the sector by building a comprehensive real estate registry for property information in the Kingdom, serving as a unified reference for all property data.
The Real Estate Registry will issue a “Property Number” and a title deed for each real estate unit registered, The new title deed includes the property’s precise geographic location, owner information, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, and all real estate transactions affecting it, serving as the basis for documenting ownership and the associated real estate rights, thereby contributing to the sustainability and strengthening of the real estate sector and its key enablers.
Real estate zones are determined according to several criteria and based on the role of the General Authority for Real Estate, as the competent authority for real estate registration in accordance with the Cabinet’s decision and the provisions of the Real Estate Registration System, while the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (the Real Estate Registry) is responsible for establishing and managing the real estate registry in the Kingdom using geospatial data and modern technologies through an integrated digital platform that enhances transparency and trust in real estate services and data.
