In press statements, His Highness said that the financing now includes all tourism facilities and is not limited to hotels, and the financing ceiling has been raised to 100 million riyals, with loans directed to projects in areas that are less saturated with tourism projects, as financing is limited to projects in cities with a population of less than one million people.
The program is expected to contribute to the development of tourism. The program is expected to stimulate more quality investments, enhance the capabilities of investors to upgrade the level of tourism services and increase the supply, to meet the large demand from citizens for local tourism, resulting in a decrease in prices and costs of tourism services with a high quality of service and diversity in the available programs and options, and will provide a large number of job opportunities for citizens, especially since the tourism sector is currently one of the largest job-providing sectors and the second sector in terms of Saudization rate which exceeds 28%.
The program is expected to contribute to stimulating more qualitative investments and enhancing the capabilities of investors to upgrade the level of tourism services and increase the supply, to meet the large demand of citizens for local tourism.
